I have never been one to watch what I eat. I guess I am fortunate. I am not a buyer of sweet food either, but if someone is handing out birthday cake I’ll have some, or if I feel like a hamburger and chips I’ll buy some.

I friend of mine works with young children and she told me about the large portions of food they eat these days. She contributes overeating as a factor in our epidemic weight gain.

A typical lunch for a preschool reads as follows:

Morning tea. – Apple, grapes, water crackers with avocado dip.

Lunch – Hugh wraps stuffed with tuna and letters. Plus an egg, carrots, zucchini, strawberries, shaved ham and cheese and biscuits as extras.

Afternoon tea – Mandarin, yogurt, pikelets and just in case your still hungry a banana.

Healthy foods are great, but everything in moderation works better.

Do three and four olds really need to eat so much!
