I hope I don’t offend anyone by writing this but I feel the whole school system needs an overhaul.

More and more you hear parents boasting about how bright their children are, how they excel at school and what fantastic careers and futures they are going to have.

Enough, we don’t all need to be brilliant, we are not all brilliant.

With suicide the leading cause of death in kids under twenty, it is time to ask ourselves, are we placing too much pressure on the younger generation.

So I agree, bring back home economics, sewing, shop, and all those others classes that have fallen by the wayside. Let’s also teach our kids about responsibility and respect, and how life is tough, that going to work everyday is tough regardless of whether you a lawyer or a baker, and that at end of the day we are all humans trying to find the heroes in ourselves.

If kids left the school system today knowing how to be assets to their countries and team players of life, that is the best lesson they'll ever learn.
