I see what he means. Working, for example can be annoying, the daily grind, a pain in the neck. But you can find good in work too, companionship, and job satisfaction. Work also makes you appreciate your weekends and your holidays. So I hear what Nietzsche is saying, but some people suffer so much…. does suffering make you a better person. If your wife and kids die in a plane crash, will the pain of their loss make you appreciate life more? Maybe I should borrow a book about Nietzsche from the library. Thanks for posting by the way Nietzsche sounds like a fascinating person.
