I was manipulated by the Humbert character. I think Lolita’s mother should have done more to stop the situation from happening. Both Lolita and Humbert had an attraction for each other, which was alarmingly obvious. The mother should have told Humbert to leave her house, and taken Lolita to see a psychologist.
